This seat is designed to help meet the American Disabilities Act guidelines for playground equipment in public applications. The Jennswing is also convenient because a child can be more easily lifted onto the swing and quickly strapped in. With its partially reclined, body-embracing design and easily adjustable safety harness, the Jennswing offers children a safe and comfortable fun ride. There is no true degree that the seat is supposed to be positioned in. It depends on the severity of the child’s disability. Where you attach the H-Shackle will decide the pitch of the seat. The seat should hang 12” off the ground in a residential application and 24” in a commercial application.
Equipment components intended solely for children with disabilities are not covered by CPSIA guidelines.
The seat is made out of durable, rotational molded polyethylene plastic and will accommodate children up to 125 lbs. The seat is 14” wide x 11” deep. The seat back is 24” high and knee to foot length is 14” long. It is 45” overall and has a 3/16” thickness. The semi-reclined design offers better upper/lower body support. Leg rest gives added support and the arm rest provides lateral support. There is a fully adjustable safety harness that securely locks the child into place. The seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Need the frame height when ordering to send correct chain. Holds up to 125 lbs.

**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**
Important: To keep children safe from harm, follow these precautions and instructions when installing, using, or maintaining this playground equipment. You can also call us at 1-800-227-7529 for more information or see http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/325.pdf.
Due to the thermo dynamics and lower heat transfer properties of plastics, plastic slides are preferred over metal slides for play equipment. Although plastic slides may become as hot as metal, they insulate better and don’t transfer the heat as quickly. Because of these properties, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends plastic slides and plastic surfaces over bare metal.
Regardless of lower heat transfer properties, plastic play equipment can still become hot enough ‐‐ in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight ‐‐ to cause burns. Plastic slides are safe, tried and true, but as is the case with all playground equipment, parents and supervisors must monitor the children in their care, make certain that the equipment is appropriate for their age, and always check playground surfaces for excessive heat before allowing children to play. For more information, contact IPEMA headquarters at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 1‐717‐238‐1744.
Installation: Make sure when seat is installed the warning label is visible. A 6’ length of chain is attached to each pair of eyebolts (the pair being top left and bottom left or top right and bottom right of the swing). To each 6’ length of chain is attached 1 H-hook for adjustment then another piece of chain, to order as seat should be 18” off the ground, long with an H-hook at the top. All of this will be attached to the seat when it is shipped.
You will need to attach the 2 H-hooks at the top of the 2’ chains to your swing hangers and Bolt the H-hook tightly. The swing will have the correct length of chains to meet ASTM standards for your height of swing set. Hangers need to be spaced 2 ft from the end of the set and 2 ft apart for each swing. If the harness is too big in the crotch take a sodering iron, so harness doesn’t fray, and burn a hole where the adjustment hole is needed.
You will need to make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook Channel lock pliers or a regular pair of channel lock channel lock pliers. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. Make sure that the shackles used are tightened and if you use the shackle swing hangers for the chain that these also are tightened. Inspect regularly or use Loctite® to make sure bolt is still tight.
Safe Use: This seat is for children up to 125 lbs. only. Not for Adults. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on seat or use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.
Maintenance: Do monthly routine maintenance checks for cracks, rust, open S-hooks, harness, H-hooks, chain and eyebolts for wear to reduce unnecessary injuries. Replace any worn, damaged or vandalized parts. Make sure there are no exposed footings, anchoring devices, rocks, roots, holes or any other obstacles in or around playground equipment. This will reduce serious injuries. In high use areas these inspections should be done more frequently. Clean with mild soap and water when you do the monthly maintenance checks. If you see wear on a swing, replace all swings purchased at the same time. Remove swings from set when temperature reaches zero or over 100°. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
